PCB assembly carriers employ a unique machining process
to ensure repeatable and precise tolerances!
Technical Information;
AGI process carriers utilize a variety of static safe epoxy
resin composites with polyester or glass fill. These materials
all feature excellent chemical resistance to common materials
and cleaning chemistries found in the PCB assembly industry.
These composites also feature; similar CTE to FR-4, can
withstand temperatures up to 300°C and very high flexural
strength MPa = 350 N/mm2. Solder will not stick to the
composites and all fasteners used on the solder side are
stainless steel. The low thermal conductivity of composites
is a tremendous advantage in soldering applications. |

Less
heat is drawn from the wave or reflow oven than typical
metal carriers.
Temperature profiling tests have also shown that composites
tend to uniformly distribute heat across the PCB. |

Design
Features and Philosophies
All of our carriers are designed to withstand the rigors
of your manufacturing environment. To accomplish this,
our PCB hold- downs are fabricated from composite to provide
a tough and reliable solution. We do not tap the composite.
We incorporate all metal to metal solutions and thread
lock all fasteners. Our conveyor edges feature a step
design for strength and plenty of bottom side clearance.
We do not use press fit pins, since they tend to fall
out and provide marginal accuracy. Our design features
stainless steel inserts that are machined into the pin,
during the fabrication of the carrier. This technology
is the most accurate and reliable approach available! |

Ideal for high volume applications, where ''finger' life

The removable .070" thick titanium
