AGI Announces Titanium Selective Solder Pallet

Huntsville, Alabama, June 21, 2006 – AGI Corporation, manufacturer of Wave Solder and SMT / Reflow Pallets, Wave Solder Profiling Tools and Feeder Storage Carts, announced today that it is producing titanium selective solder pallets for difficult wave soldering applications. These applications include PCB’s that are designed with plated through hole components in very close proximity to bottom side SMD’s. By machining titanium vs. composites we can achieve ‘seal walls’ down to .020 inches thick standard and as small as .015 inches thick over short distances. Other benefits include; no sagging during soldering and thinner floor thickness which reduces the “Z” height the solder must travel.

AGI Corp’s design is based upon machining a single piece of titanium to match the PCB and incorporate that into a composite pallet frame. By doing this, the pallet is lighter, cheaper to machine and by avoiding using small titanium inserts screwed to the pallet; we avoid the issues of leaking, alignment and thermal mismatch. The composite frame runs much cooler than the titanium coming out of the wave, so it is easier to handle or convey after soldering. The titanium pallet design includes many of the proven AGI designs for low defect wave soldering.

According to general manager, Chad Petty, “AGI Corp is very excited about the introduction of this new product. This solution addresses the special needs of challenging applications. If you have any questions about what AGI Corp can do for you please feel free to contact us. Our manufacturing operations are now producing products for North America and Mexico, 7 days per week, allowing AGI to supply customers with quality products as quickly as possible.”

AGI Announces Major Manufacturing Plant Expansion

Huntsville, Alabama, April 3, 2006 – AGI Corporation, manufacturer of Wave Solder and SMT / Reflow Pallets, Wave Solder Profiling Tools and Feeder Storage Carts, announced today that it has completed a 7,500 square foot expansion to it’s manufacturing facility. This expansion more than doubles its current manufacturing space. The expansion was needed to support AGI’s continued growing demand for its products and the shorter lead times their customers' require.

In addition to the facility expansion, AGI has added (3) more CNC machining centers. The added machines, coupled with a nearly 24/7 manufacturing operation will help AGI keep pace with their rapidly expanding tooling needs. AGI has also increased its staff by 50% over the past few months. Huntsville, Alabama is well known for having a large pool of manufacturing and engineering talent in the Southern United States.

According to general manager, Chad Petty, “The demand for our products and services increased at a much faster rate than anticipated. AGI has met that demand head on, by doubling our production capacity in 2005. We are now ready to add more blocks of capacity as needed to keep in step with the industry. AGI Announces New Wave Profiling Pallet

Huntsville, Alabama, July 15, 2005 - AGI Corporation has been developing the perfect wave profiling and characterization tool for many years. Through this effort we have found that many customers need the temperature measurements and software analysis obtained by their profiling tools such as “KIC ®, ECD Mole ® and Data Paq ®” - specified with order. However, the need for a simple and visual device for quick reference is also required. AGI’s Wave profiling pallet allows you to measure the height of the Wave Nozzle! Pallet includes (2) wave nozzle height slides with inscribed height measurements.

Until now, manufacturers had to purchase and maintain two or more wave profiling tools. AGI has combined them into one. It is fabricated from 8-mm thick, black, ESD composite material with a 1/8" thick AGI WAVE GLASS. The glass is laser etched with a 1/2" square grid pattern to allow accurate visual alignment and profile status of the wave. AGI's new wave glass does not require pre-heating! Standard Pallet widths of 16", 20" and 24" with custom sizes per request.

The pallet contains (6) .050" diameter holes accept T/C's for the data pack, (3) 1.9-mm diameter w/M3 hole tapped and c-bore for the Thermo Couple lug, (2) Aluminum measurement blocks, (2) stainless steel pin with brass bushing pointers to measure the solder pot height, (2) 23" long titanium fingers, plus (2) hinge bars and blocks for solder pot measurement tool. All positioning and reference markings and text filled with white ink for maximum visibility.

AGI has been serving the needs of the PCB Assembly Industry since 1994. We have a fully automated CAD support group that can work directly with client supplied GERBER ® data to design a product that will perform to our client's expectations. Fabricating pallets for surface mount and through-hole assemblies, which are accurate and delivered on time, is paramount in providing on-going customer satisfaction. Our fabrication team is able to provide fast delivery while maintaining a product of high quality. The raw materials were selected to assure the longest life while maintaining specified tolerances and process conditions. This, coupled with a design philosophy that focuses on simplicity and robustness, ensures ease of use, which translates to longer life through less in-process damage.
