Selections for Solder Pallets

AGI process carriers utilize a variety of static safe epoxy resin composites with polyester or glass fill. These materials all feature excellent chemical resistance to common materials and cleaning chemistries found in the PCB assembly industry.

Solder will not stick to the composites we use. All fasteners used on the solder side are stainless steel. The low thermal conductivity of composites is a tremendous advantage in soldering applications.

AGI now manufactures Titanium Selective Solder Pallets utilized for difficult wave soldering applications. These applications include PCB’s that are designed with plated through hole components in very close proximity to bottom side SMD’s.

By machining titanium vs. composites, AGI can achieve ‘seal walls’ down to .020 inches thick standard and as small as .015 inches thick over short distances.

AGI has developed an Adjustable Wave Pallet that accommodates most PCB's and components! You are looking for an Adjustable pallet that is capable to handle your unique PCB's.

Connectors and components are placed along the edge making hold downs unusable, connector overhang wont fit in the pallet, or you have thin and thick PCB's that do not fit in the pallet.
   
   
 
AGI offers three Canopy systems for the PCB manufacturer who needs to hold down and/or align components, connectors or mask openings in the pallet, during the Wave Solder process.

Pop-Up Hinged Canopy eliminates the problems associated with the angular loading of the component hold down tooling due to the fixed hinge point. The pop-up mechanism keeps the canopy up above the components after it has been swung over. This allows the canopy to be closed, engaging the components, in a true vertical motion.

AGI has recently introduced a new self latching component hold down. The operator simply 'closes' the hold down on the part and the sliding latch locks in place. The device will function even if inverted.

Our injection molded parts are made from durable, ESD safe, high temperature plastic that can exceed temperatures of 300°C.

Through this effort we have found that many customers need the temperature measurements and software analysis obtained by their profiling tools such as “KIC ® , ECD Mole ® and Data Paq ®” - specified with order.

AGI’s Wave Profiler Pallet allows you to measure the height and parallelism of the wave nozzle, conveyor speed, contact area of the wave and gives you a place to locate your profile unit.
