Huntsville, Alabama – June 12,2023 - AGI Corporation, a leading provider of electronic industry solutions, is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of a purchase agreement with ASMPT, acquiring their SMT Stencil Production based in Memphis. This strategic acquisition further strengthens AGI's position in serving customers in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Industrial Electronics, and other electronic industries throughout North America, with a particular focus on the Southeast and Midwest regions.
With a longstanding 15-year relationship between AGI and ASMPT, dating back to AGI's initial DEK franchise agreement in 2008, this acquisition represents a natural progression of the partnership between the two companies. While ASMPT's reasons for divesting their stencil operations will be communicated separately by ASMPT, AGI remains committed to providing exceptional customer service and delivering superior stencil solutions.
